RELEASE – 2020 MITOLO CLASSIC SERIES
Mitolo is excited to announce the 2020 vintage release of its three foundational wines – G.A.M. Shiraz, Savitar Shiraz and Serpico Cabernet Sauvignon. Expressive of a true sense of place, these wines are sourced from prized holdings in the southern McLaren Vale sub district of Whites Valley. Powerful yet elegant, Mitolo’s Classic Series wines display the complexity and structure deservant of careful cellaring.
Tasting note: A Fruitful and expressive nose of red plum, sweet red cherry and blackberry. Sweet spices of cinnamon and vanilla, and notes of Dutch chocolate. The rich and generous palate carries the plum, cherry and blackberry from the nose. Creamy chocolate and velvety textures surround well-structured, mouth filling tannins, giving the wine ample mid-palate breadth. Succulent acidity frames the wine perfectly, leaving a satisfying and moreish finish.
