This Primitivo di Manduria DOP is from the private collection Cosimo Varvaglione.

It originates from a careful hand-selection of each single cluster on old free standing vines, cultivated following the old family tradition. This intense red wine has purple hints, an enchanting taste and aromas reminiscent of red fruit jam. An elegant wine, that keeps its territory characteristics intact. It perfectly matches with red meat, game and aged cheese.

Tasting Notes: Particulary elegant and power full, with obvious typicality and wonderful aromas of ripe red fruits. Black currants, black peprer and buts. Impressively concentrates and dense “sweet without being heavy”. The freshness and acidity invite you to take another mouthful. The persistent aftertaste, the balance and the structure recommend it for aging.
