DESCRIPTION
Tenuta Ulisse Don Antonio was created as a tribute by the grandchildren to their grandfather and founder of this winery in Abruzzo. The grapes for its production are harvested after a brief over-ripening on the vine and subsequent maceration on the skins for about 20/25 days. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place, partly in steel at a temperature of 24-26°C and partly in cement. As regards maturation, part of the mass matures in oak barrels for 12 months where malolactic fermentation also takes place. The process ends with refinement in the bottle.
Tasting Notes: Deep and intense red, sometimes impenetrable. Deep and complex on the nose,
gives the nose a bouquet of notes of blackberry, plum and raspberry. It has a wonderful spicy and delicate scent of vanilla, cocoa, licorice. The drink is of great character, dynamic and silky in the tannic texture and snappy in the freshness, long in the persistence.
